To encourage use of alternative systems of medicines in healthcare delivery and to ensure propagation of research and education in these systems, a separate Department of Indian System of Medicine was established by Delhi Government as a part of Health and family welfare Department in May, 1996. In 2013, it was renamed as Directorate of AYUSH where AYUSH stands for Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy systems of medicines.
The National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) has been constituted by an act of Parliament known as The National Commission for Homoeopathy Act, 2020 which came into force on 05.07.2021 by gazette notification dated 05.07.2021. The Board of Governors in supersession of Central Council of Homoeopathy constituted under section 3 of The Homoeopathy Central Council Act, 1973
Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH) is an apex research organization under Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India which undertakes, coordinates, develops, disseminates and promotes scientific research in Homoeopathy. The Headquarters of the Council are situated in New Delhi and multi-centric research is conducted through a network of 26 institutes/units all over India.
The Council formulates and conducts research programs/projects; collaborates with national and international institutes of excellence to undertake evidence based research in fundamental and applied aspects of Homoeopathy; monitors extra mural researches and propagates the research findings through monographs, journals, newsletters, I.E.&C. materials, seminars/workshops. Studies comply with the modern scientific parameters and research is undertaken with the goal that the outcome of research translates into practice and the benefit of the research is extended to the profession and the public.
To create a platform both nationally and internationally representing all Homoeopathic Doctors, Practitioners, students, followers of Homoeopathy for sharing knowledge and their experience in clinicals in the homoeopathic field. Sincere intention of creating awareness about HOMOEOPATHY as an unparalleled, modern, scientific system of medicine. Came into existence in the year 1992.
